just the two of us

The two of us
A Mother and Child
Bound together by a birth
Growing, nurturing giving all she's worth
Together yet alone no father in sight
The one who should have stood up
Just wasn't right
So long it has just been them
Their routines together without a him
Until one day a man took a chance
Took out the mother without a glance
Knew of the son and the bond that was there
Didn't want to intrude on the routine
For he truly cared
One day introduced the boy mom's pride & joy
Through happy times, struggles & stress
Even some emotional mess
They work to go on not wanting to stop
Not sure what the future may bring
All three know of the bond
Mother, child and him

WOW,that is so very sweet...you go boy
Love only comes once in a lifetime, O sure there are some we think we love, some we tell ourselves he/she is the one...but if you have the one that is meant for you make sure you tell him/her and love for real love long and love through God.
