Apparently, somebody snuck some straight people into the gay pride 2005 festivities in San Francisco.
Silly breeders. Gay pride marches do not equal Mardi Gras.
The photo has some nudity in it as well as some gatuitous hetero-style making out.
And from the same photo set…got lube?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Both the U.S. marriage and divorce rates are dropping while the number of unwed couples living together is rising, according to an annual study of marriage released Monday.
The numbers show a gradual trend in the United States toward the lifestyles in Scandinavia, particularly Sweden, where unmarried cohabitation with children is far more common, said David Popenoe, co-author of "The State of Our Unions" study.
The number of unmarried couples living together in the United States grew to more than 5 million last year, according to the study by the National Marriage Project at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in Piscataway.More than half of all first U.S. marriages are preceded by living together, it said. The study did not specify whether it meant first marriage for both men and women.
Meanwhile, the U.S. marriage rate fell to 39.9 per 1,000 unmarried women in 2004 from 46.5 in 2000 and 76.5 in 1970, the study said. The ratio of married U.S. adults has fallen to its lowest since 1960, to about 55 percent from 69 percent, it said.
The divorce rate dropped to 17.7 per 1,000 married women in 2004 from 18.8 in 2000 and a high of 22.6 in 1980, the study said.
Eleven percent of adult U.S. women and 8 percent of adult men are divorced, the study said. In 1960, fewer than 3 percent of women and fewer than 2 percent of men were divorced, it said.
"Put all those together, and it means that those people who marry might have a little stronger marriages than they once did, but fewer people are marrying and more people are living together outside of marriage," Popenoe said.
By comparison, the marriage rate in Sweden is one of the lowest in the world, while the divorce rate is rising, he said.
"We're still a marrying nation, but we're, I would say, gradually drifting in the European direction, if these trends are going to prevail," Popenoe said.
The study showed the number of U.S. children born to unwed mothers and the percentage of children living with a single parent increased to record highs.
Almost 35 percent of last year's babies were born to unmarried women. Of those, 40 percent were born to unmarried couples living together, Popenoe said. Some 40 percent of such couples have children, he noted.
Overall, the ratio of U.S. households with children has been dropping since 1960, when it was almost half. The figure dropped to about 33 percent in 2003 and is expected to fall to 28 percent in 2010, the study said.
The report, written by Popenoe, a social and behavioral sciences professor, and Barbara Dafoe Whitehead, an author of books on marriage and family.

I must share my experience with you of a new church. Sunday July 17, We had the pleasure of visiting New Birth North an affiliate of Bishop Eddie Long Ministries, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. New Birth North is located in Marietta , 1395 S. Marietta Parkway building 100 suite 104 Marietta, GA 30067.

Jeffrey and I are both Christians, however, we belong to, two different churches. Our relationship is pleasing to God. We are not having sex, playing house or shacking up. NO, we are not doing that either "sex like stuff ." Yes, we kiss, we hold hands and like to tickle but, we know what is displeasing to Christ. Our relationship is open, honest and pure, but not at all perfect. It is very difficult to worship together on Sunday and Wednesday when we belong to two different congregations.

Were we summons to attend New Birth North? Perhaps yes. Sunday's message delivered a relationships series! Male & female relationships, coupled with marriages & children, single, or divorced.

Their message...Marriages are ending & children are suffering; yet, there is hope! Whether you are married, single, or divorced, God God wants to talk to you.
And of course we were listening. God never does anything by accident or mistake so Jeff and I knew we were at the right place at the right time. Amen...Amen.

Jeff and I love and care for each other deeply, and we are concerned how this issue, which is very big; will continue to effect our relationship when it comes to our place of worship.

What was so very interesting to me was the message delivered by First Lady Moore. She spoke of honoring man. What I mean by that is us woman who are allegedly strong, find it difficult to honor men especially if raised solely by our mothers; who exemplify strength. Respecting men is not a choice marriage vows states "honor, obey until death do us part." Ladies, that mean we must be of Nobel character. Amen...Amen! I agree, I agree with my whole heart that is the order set forth. I have been a Godly woman in training for years. Coming from a family of woman cursed with non-martial status set forth by my grandmother, God rest her soul.

I am on a mission. My grandmother had 16 kids all by the same man, although grand-father was a rolling stone and had two children known of outside their marriage; still my nanna honored and obeyed and respected him until the day he died. My grandmother instilled strength in my aunts but, she forgot to teach them to rely on their mate. Setting the stage for the "strong woman curse". Out of 7 girls and 9 boys only 2 of the sisters married. And, only one is married today. My uncle's on the other hand all married or have been in great long-term relationships.

Now it is the time for the grandchildren, especially granddaughters who follow in footsteps of "the strong mother" to break the cycle. Can you believe that out of 13 granddaughters only one is married, however, we all have a child or children out of wedlock. Yes! What is wrong with this picture? I am going to break this 'so called curse' that has plagued the Alexander woman for too long. I, just like my cousin Janice who might I mention is one of the granddaughters out of the affair my grandfather had. So to add salt to the wound Janice is not my grandmother's first blood granddaughter. YUP! It is a real curse. If I am not the first to marry and break it, someone will in my life time. I claim that! I am going to show by way of teaching what I am learning, my doctrine will show it, my life will exude the order set forth by God. To be strong for your family is no substitute for weak, single in-charge woman, mothering and so called loving .

Amen...Amen

Please visit New Birth North on Sundays - 8:00AM & 10:00AM, and on Wednesdays -7:00PM! New Birth North awesome spirit of love was shown Today July 19, when my boyfriend received a call from Pastor Robert C. Moore. I too would have gotten a call if my cell phone was not cut off for late payment. It will be on today. People a note about paying bills online. STOP! It is very dangerous...And identity theft is waiting for you. I know first hand. Think of it this way, if everything goes online all shops, stores, banks and churches will vanish. Just as it is slowly happening today, one click you got a meal, one click you got shoes, one click you got a message from "GOD" and who is behind the message... Please, keep visiting in person your spirit will change any ominous atmosphere. Amen...Amen!

A Mother and Child
Bound together by a birth
Growing, nurturing giving all she's worth
Together yet alone no father in sight
The one who should have stood up
Just wasn't right

So long it has just been them
Their routines together without a him
Until one day a man took a chance
Took out the mother without a glance
Knew of the son and the bond that was there
Didn't want to intrude on the routine
For he truly cared

One day introduced the boy mom's pride & joy
Through happy times, struggles & stress
Even some emotional mess
They work to go on not wanting to stop
Not sure what the future may bring

Single
This time last week I was single
Somehow we just clicked
Most men go for blonds desparately seeking
the barbie doll
Love bytes
Is love really a phone call away
A mouse click in cyberspace
A chat line hear a voice picturing a face
Or
Meeting in the middle give and take
Friendship first
No thin lines between love and hate
Does God picks your mate while you are busy
Buried under satans yoke not looking
Roses after your first date
phone calls in the middle of everyday
Luck no such thing your time no way
Could it be fate or is it faith
Some say all thee above I say Amen

Commentary: We Can’t Blame White Folks for Our Missing Fathers and Unknown Granddads
Date: Wednesday, July 13, 2005
By: Gregory Kane, BlackAmericaWeb.com

Where are the granddads?

Chapter Four of Four

When I went to give a Black History Month speech at a Baltimore middle school a few years ago, I tried to teach the students that black history isn’t just something learned in books, but something that exists right in their families.

Big mistake.

In a classroom full of 20 to 30 students, all black, I asked for names of parents.

Then I asked for names of grandparents.

Most students could name only one parent. That was usually the mother.

A few could name their mothers and their grandmothers. One may have known a great-grandmother’s name. Not one knew the name of either a maternal or paternal grandfather.

How did black folks get in this pathetic state in 21st century America?

Our ancestors survived the Middle Passage (referred to more correctly by some black folks as “the Bitter Passage”), slavery, peonage, prison farms, state-sponsored domestic terrorism, lynching and Jim Crow. We came through all of that, in the early to mid-20th century, with black kids who had fathers in the home and who knew what their grandfathers’ names were.

It’d be nice if we could trot out the convenient white villain to blame for absent daddies and unknown granddaddies. For at least the past 40 years, the convenient white villain has been good for us. We blame him -- and it’s usually a him, and he’s usually conservative or Republican -- whenever there’s some unsavory business about black folks we don’t want to account for ourselves.

Too many black men in prison? That’s the fault of a white racist criminal justice system.

The educational achievement gap that has whites graduating high school with a 12th grade education while blacks graduate with an 8th grade education? That’s because those mean old white folks don’t give enough money to black schools.

The racial disparity in school discipline that sees black kids punished more than white ones? Our reliable convenient white villain is responsible for that.

Black kids growing up without a daddy around? Black children looking completely baffled when asked to name their grandfathers? Well, white folks have done a lot to us. But they didn’t do this.

Three weeks ago, readers of this column learned the fate of Anne Dozier’s three sons. All were fatally shot in Baltimore before their 20th birthdays. Not one daddy was around to remove his son from harm’s way. Apparently, no grandfathers were around either.

While BlackAmericaWeb.com readers have been perusing my past three columns about what happens when black daddies fail their children, a 13-year-old Baltimore boy was charged with murder after he shot a 23-year-old man to death in a neighborhood not far from where Dozier’s sons lived.

The boy’s mother, a 37-year-old cashier, told local news reporters she had a hard time handling her son after his father died. The boy had a string of arrests dating back two years on charges ranging from assault to drug dealing.

We can’t fault that boy’s daddy on this one. The guy’s dead, after all. Perhaps a granddaddy could have stepped up. But news reports say the boy has an 18-year-old brother. They didn’t live with the mother, who has a third son, age 6, who lives with her.

The two older boys live with -- you guessed it -- their grandmother.

This tale is eerily reminiscent of what happened to Dozier’s sons. Dozier had five children by five different men. The 13-year-old’s mother has three sons by three different men. There was no daddy or even a father figure involved in the life of son number two. He regularly broke his curfew, skipped school, hung out with friends his mother admits she didn’t know from Adam and ran up a rap sheet.

Now he stands accused of murder.

The boy quite possibly bought into the “50 Cent” syndrome too common among black youth. Curtis Jackson, whose father failed him as surely as the fathers of the boys mentioned in these columns failed them, is a former drug dealer-turned-rap star who’s a legend because he was shot nine times.

Sling some drugs? No big deal. Get shot nine times? No problem? Shoot somebody nine times? That’s just being a soldier.

Whatever the faults of that 13-year-old murder suspect’s mother, she didn’t fail her son.

We did

So there you have it. 1973 was an odd year

The year 1973 probably cost Americans more in terms of their self-image than any year in recent memory. The effect was dismaying as Watergate, pro longed economic malaise, sudden energy shortages and a general crisis of authority and trust lodged deeply with in the national psyche. In an odd and un welcome tattoo of accompaniment, nature also wreaked a special havoc on the country for the second year running. Total damage for natural disasters in 1973 exceeded $1.2 billion. Federal funds ex pended to assist local governments and citizens in the 31 states plagued with natural disasters came to the Nation.

Why? Because I wasn't supportive and did not hold myself to the higher standard. I allowed myself to lose what was important to me and that is the love of another human being. Don't get me wrong, I know GOD is the best thing to ever happen to me. However this girl (Womanology) was all that and so much more. However I was unsupportive in her dreams and goals. Sure I tried however I didn't try hard enough. I love her with my whole heart and I love her son with that same heart. I allowed myself to slip into the deepest darkest recesses of my mind and go places that I never should have gone. I had accomplished so much before in being strong and righteous. However just that few minutes I allowed myself to slide down the hill head first and cracking my skull into the dry ground below. Bleeding from my head because I listened to my mind and not my heart or my spirit. They say the mind is a terrible thing to waste. I say on some instances yes however the mind is a horrible thing to allow yourself to listen to when you need to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow what is in your heart. Granting the fact that your heart is pure and full of virtue. If your heart is cold and dead then you will be on that same hill as I was sliding down head first. I will admit that things always aren't great between us however all relationships have their downfalls. We together collectively were becoming one. We were coming together to be there for each other. After everyone had said walk away and I myself even was honest in stating that I was not being the boyfriend I needed to be. Struggling yet fighting. Fighting and seemed to be winning. Until I decided to take that trip down the hill. The trip that will forever change my life. Not only because I let GOD down, not only because I let myself down. It's because I let the best thing to happen to me in a long time down and begin to doubt herself once again. She is so strong Womanology. She is so pure and truthful and understanding. Yet in a single trip I showed her that I am not the man I said I wanted to be. So to anyone who reads this, know that if you have someone that you truly love with a passion and not just because you think saying I love you is cool, take her into your arms and not only tell her how you feel but show her how you feel. Always listen and don't always feel the need to give advice because sometimes it's best to listen. Just being there and supporting that person will bring you more joy than you will ever realize. I didn't do that well enough and know I'm laying at the bottom of the hill bleeding from my head.

womanology

Satan UnmaskedOvercoming the Jezebel spirit at work in your life
This is a spirit that seeks to control everything in our spiritual and national life
In recent weeks I have returned from a prolonged time of seeking Jesus. The revelation that He gave me was startling and focused on unmasking Satan. In our lives as Christians it is vital that we learn to overcome. I want to help you to discover how the enemy operates and for us together to unmask him and defeat him.
Living in this kind of victory does not happen simply through deliverance but occurs through deliverance and daily discipline. Many people believe that victory comes to their lives when they receive deliverance ministry - but in reality true victory comes when deliverance is coupled with a new godly, disciplined daily lifestyle. Also as you read this article today do not just receive it as intellectual truth but take it into your spirit and appropriate it. Then act on the truth - live it out!
The Jezebel spiritSo what is the Jezebel spirit? This is the spirit that is named after Queen Jezebel who was the wife of King Ahab who was a king of Israel. This spirit seeks to affect our marriages, family life, self image, relationships, sexuality, ministry and so much more! This spirit is at the root of the demonic kingdom and seeks to destroy all that is of God in the earth. This is a spirit that seeks to dominate everything in our spiritual and national life.
The beginningThe strategy of Satan has always been to take from mankind the authority that God has given to us. This strategy can be seen right from Genesis chapter one where mankind rebels against God and the battle of the sexes commences. God's intention was for men and women to work together in partnership to subdue the world. But Satan's distortion brought the temptation for women to manipulate and rule men and for men to dominate women. Men and women have equal status and worth in the eyes of God but they do have different, but complimentary, roles. The role of the man is as the head and that of the women as helper. The man's role is as the loving leader and the woman's as a suitable helper. Together men and women can subdue the earth!
Ahab and JezebelIn 1 Kings 16 we see the supreme example of the Jezebel spirit. This evil queen Jezebel brought great sin into the nation and an incredible conflict occurs with the prophet Elijah on Mount Carmel. Jezebel encouraged Baal worship which promoted immorality and perversion. A great victory is won on Carmel and the nations sees the fire of God descend. But even after that amazing victory Jezebel threatens and intimidates Elijah to the extent that he runs for fear of his life. Jezebel then institutes a period of persecution and the prophetic figures in the nation are killed. This is a spirit behind a woman who manifests incredible control, seduction and manipulation and Ahabhas given in to that control. Jezebel operates out of a spirit of witchcraft. Ahab had given up the headship of his home and of the nation. This Jezebel spirit is passed from one generation to another until it is stopped by the power of Christ. Ahaziah became the new king of Israel and indulged in all the sins of his parents.
Jezebel's defeatIn the book of Revelation chapter 17 the spirit of Babylon or the Jezebel spirit comes into focus once again. Babylon is that great system of the world which is dominated and controlled by Satan. Babylon is everything that the devil has built around himself, it is the system of antichrist. He controls governments, the arts, media, finance, education, science and so much more! In fact he even tries to control the church. But at the same time the city of God, Zion, is rising to defeat Babylon. Babylon will fall. As believers we need, by repentance, to come out of Babylon and to live holy lives.
Freedom from the Jezebel spiritAs the conflict between the Elijah generation and the Jezebel spirit increases we need to know how to confront that spirit. God has given us powerful weapons in order to enforce the victory that he has already accomplished - the name of Jesus, faith, the word of God, praise, binding and loosing, prayer and the blood of Jesus. Incredible weapons by which we can wage warfare.
Living FreeWe have been set free so we must live free! It is crucial that we do not yield our lives to sin. If you have sin in your life then repent of it now and shut off those areas of your life from the devil. Sins that might be relevant for you include pride, self-righteousness, abdicating male headship, usurping male headship, greed and adultery. Ask for the Holy Spirit's light to shine on your life. Do not allow the devil to have access to your life. Today you can start to walk the path of freedom by:
• Confessing your sin
• Forsaking your sin - walk towards Jesus and away from your sinful lifestyle
• Forgive all those who have sinned against you
• Ask God for deep cleansing and forgiveness; ask Him to extract the sin out of your personality
• Expel every evil presence in your life
• Praise God
• Seek a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit
This new path needs to be your continual path. You can maintain the lifestyle of freedom in Jesus by pursuing God with all of your heart, by filling your life with prayer and intercession, by living in the word and walking before Him in obedience and service. Jesus has set us free so let's live free!

I just wanted to take a moment to say hello. I was hoping to see you last night however I did get to see you yesterday so that made me happy. I'm not sure if I will see you tonight or not. If not then I do look forward to the next time that we can spend together. I want you to know that I do want to support you in your goals of writing your book and just improving yourself. I love you very much and I know that giving support is very important to building a successful relationship. I want you to be happy and it is my hope I am the man to help make you happy. I will await to hear from you. Until we can see each other again know that I am thinking of you and knowing that we are blessed.

Single
This time last week I was single
Somehow we just clicked
Most men go for blonds desparately seeking the barbie doll
Love bytes
Is love really a phone call away
A mouse click in cyberspace
A chat line hear a voice picturing a face
Or
Meeting in the middle give and take
Friendship first
No thin lines between love and hate
Does God pick your mate while you are busy
Buried under satans yoke not looking
Roses after your first date phone calls in the middle of everyday
Luck no such thing your time no way
Could it be fate or is it faith
Some say all thee above
I say Amen

The one subject that can actually change from day to hence I say even minute to minute. This subject is the woman. I just saw the subject entitled womanology. What is this subject? Science of a woman. How is it possible that someone could write a subject on the most difficult "misunderstood" on the planet. It all started with Eve and her convincing nature to get Adam to eat the fruit after being convinced by the serpeant that it would be okay. Over 2000 years later and the woman is still not understood. I ask myself if womanology will actually help the woman be better understood or if it's just a rouse that gets the man to think they can be understood and they then get even more confusing. Until more research is done, that is my two cents worth.

I am a soulful writer with spoken word talent. I love to perform on stage - uplift the crowd. Mosaic? OK, I'll be that style I love-prejudices I hate. Tina Turner big influence, Lenny kravitz, Eve, India Irie, Pink and Areosmith are a few of my favorites. Performers. My spoken word is always accompanied by a beat. LIVE Guitar, Piano, and Drums MMM.. So rich damn I love it.
Poetic insomniac defines spoken revolution with the minds. Divide readily into parts heard round the world, spoken art. I Represent it best-my subject-womanology on stage- my story my way. Fact, fiction, painted picture. The Collaboration.. two minds. Clearly so abstract in my thinking- So challenged to an affirmation of traditional what? - Cloudy... at times It's hard to forsee any objection. Spoken word artist confess. What can I say? Please, NO arguments. My style is that something more or.. Here it comes, what? True or propaganda? You judge it... PEACE, Mia (mission in action)
